What Makes a Medal Worth Keeping

Most event medals are 45mm of stamped aluminium on a printed polyester ribbon. They cost very little, they feel like very little, and they end up in a drawer. We build to a different spec, and it is worth explaining why each part matters. ## Weight and thickness Our medals run 65-75mm across and 3.5-4mm thick, which puts them at 80-110 grams. Weight is the first thing a hand registers. A medal that feels substantial gets hung on a wall; one that feels like a coaster does not. ## Die-cast, not stamped Die-casting holds depth and detail that stamping flattens. It is why the relief on a Resolution Run medal still reads clearly at arm's length. ## The ribbon is half the object Woven and sublimated, 900mm, colour-matched to the medal - not a printed strip.
