How Virtual Runs Actually Work
Published 26 Aug 2026
A virtual run is a real run. The only thing that changes is where the start line sits.
## 1. Pick a challenge and a distance
Every challenge on MilesToEarn lists its distances up front - 10K, 25K, 50K, or for streak challenges, a number of consecutive days. Pick the one you can finish inside the completion window, not the one that sounds impressive.
## 2. Choose your package
Digital-only gets you the certificate, the badge and your place on the leaderboard. The medal packages add the physical piece - die-cast, ribboned, boxed, and shipped free anywhere in India. Prices on this site are GST-inclusive, so the number on the card is the number you pay.
## 3. Move, anywhere
A park, a treadmill, the road outside your house, three separate mornings across three separate cities. There is no route to follow and no clock to beat but your own. Split the distance across as many sessions as the challenge allows.
## 4. Upload your proof
Finish, then screenshot the summary from whatever you tracked with - Strava, Garmin, Apple Health, Google Fit, Fitbit, or your phone's own step counter. We need the distance, the date and the duration visible. Upload it from your dashboard.
## 5. Get approved, get your medal
A human reviews every submission. Once yours is approved, your progress updates, your certificate goes live at a permanent verification link, and if you bought a medal package it enters the dispatch queue - usually out the door within 7 working days.
That is the whole thing. The medal is real, the certificate is verifiable, and the kilometres were always yours.
